At Stepping Stone, we believe in a holistic approach to recovery, and understand that physical and mental health are intrinsically linked.
We know that due to the effects of psychiatric medication, symptoms of mental illness, and associated low motivation levels, a high number of people with mental health issues also experience physical health issues due to weigh gain. As a result, the members and staff at Stepping Stone have developed a Healthy Active Living Program (HALP), focusing on encouraging a healthy lifestyle for our members which includes opportunities for fitness, healthy eating, increased well being, and most importantly, fun.

We know that diet is just as important as exercise. That is why our breakfast and lunch meals consist of a freshly prepared cooked meal and our café offers fresh fruit, yoghurt, nuts, muesli and other healthy snacks should you feel hungry throughout the day!
