What is the ICCD?							

The International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) is the coordinating centre for a worldwide

Clubhouse community serving more than 100,000 men and women living with mental illness. In leading

a strong worldwide alliance of over 330 clubhouses in 30 countries, one of our many functions is to help

with new Clubhouse start-up and development. 

What is the conference?

The conference specifically targets groups wanting to develop an ICCD Clubhouse.  It emphasizes the

cultivation of local volunteer boards to help develop and sustain the growth of the Clubhouse.

 The following components will be included in the conference:

* Developing a Vision/Mission statement

*Overview of the ICCD and Clubhouse Model

*Building the working group into a successful Clubhouse board

*Case studies of successful start-up Clubhouses

*Hiring a Director

*Fundraising

*Budgeting

*Obtaining a non-profit status

*Tour of Stepping Stone Clubhouse ICCD International Training Base

*Development of an individualized action Plan and follow up onsultation from ICCD representatives. 

The goal of the conference is to foster the creation of a Board of Directors to ensure the successful

devolopment, growth and sustainability of a Clubhouse.

During the training an action plan will be developed that uniquely fits the community of where the new

Clubhouse is located.

25 - 27th March 2013

Who should attend?

The conference is for 3 – 6 people who will be key stakeholders in developing your Clubhouse. 

Cost

$1500 - fees include two day conference, two night’s accommodation and training materials.

Who is delivering the conference?

The conference is a partnership between the ICCD and Clubhouse Australia.  Clubhouse Australia is

the coalition of Australian ICCD Clubhouses.  The conference will be held at Stepping Stone

Clubhouse, Brisbane.  The facilitators and mentors will include experienced Clubhouse people from

the ICCD and Australian Clubhouses.
