Stepping Stone Clubhouse has a Healthy Active Living Program (HALP) which focusses on encouraging a healthy active lifestyle for our members. It’s all about taking the first step to eating better, being more physically active, learning about what is good for you and how to increase your sense of wellbeing and energy.

At the Clubhouse we promote healthy eating by offering a choice at lunch of a freshly prepared cooked meal, or a delicious salad buffet. Our café offers fresh fruit, yoghurt, nuts, muesli and other healthy products should you feel hungry throughout the day.  We have also put together a selection of our favourite healthy Clubhouse lunchtime recipes so members and staff can enjoy and make them at home. You can either download them for free from our website (Link coming soon) or for a small price to cover costs, buy a printed version directly from the hospitality unit.

We also encourage members to be active physically and have a range of activities for all levels of fitness. The Clubhouse has a daily walk after lunch consisting of both staff and members and you can choose to go on a 15 minute or 30 minute walk, depending on how energetic you are feeling! In addition there is a walk held every Thursday evening where we enjoy the scenery and stroll alongside the river at Kangaroo Point and Southbank. For those who like something more vigorous we also attend a subsidized boxing class which is held for 60  minutes each Friday at 3.30 pm   (punching bags only)

 Our social recreational activities on every weekend are designed to satisfy a range of different interests such as museums, art galleries, to games and the great outdoors. We regularly include active outings such as bush walking, kayaking, visits to the beach and swimming, golf driving range and much more.
